Product Description:
Meilong Tube's downhole control lines are primarily used for
communication in oil, gas, and water-injection wells. They must be
durable enough to withstand unusually harsh conditions, and can be
configured to meet different applicational needs. All elements of
the control lines are hydrolytically stable and can be used with
high-pressure gas and other typical well completion fluids without
any issue. The selection of materials is dependent on various
features, such as bottomhole temperature, hardness, tensile and
tear strength, water absorption, air permeability, oxidation,
abrasion, and chemical resistance. Much improvement has been made
with control lines, such as by performing crush tests and
simulating high-pressure well autoclaves. Through these, it was
discovered that control lines can stand under enhanced load when
strand “bumper wires” are used.
Features:
Control lines that can be delivered in orbital-weld-free lengths up
to 40,000 ft (12,192 m) are provided to ensure optimal reliability.
A wide range of options are available, such as single, dual, or
triple flat-packs that can be combined with downhole electrical
cables and/or bumper wires for easier operation and handling during
deployment.
Moreover, a welded-and-plug-drawn production method is implemented
to guarantee a smooth, round tube, allowing long-term metal sealing
of terminations upon the completion of deployment. Different
encapsulation materials are carefully selected to suit different
well conditions, thus providing assurance on longevity and
reliability overall.
Technical Parameters:
This table lists the characteristics of seamless and floating
internal plug redrawn tubing, which is supplied in the annealed
condition and provided in continuous length without orbital joint
welds. Specifications include alloy, UNS, outer diameter, wall
thickness, working pressure, burst pressure, collapse pressure and
test pressure. The theoretical burst pressure is based on minimum
wall thickness and minimum tensile strength, while the theoretical
collapse pressure is based on minimum wall thickness and minimum
yield strength. The pressure rating is at 100°F (38°C) in neutral
and static conditions.
Alloy UNS O.D., W.T., working pressure, burst pressure, collapse
pressure and test pressure are specified for each type of tubing.
